Clifford J. (Cliff) Boan, Esq.

Cliff is a dedicated legal professional committed to helping individuals navigate their legal challenges using the processes, remedies, and relief available through the legal justice system. With a diverse and extensive practice, Cliff offers clients trusted guidance and representation in a wide range of legal areas, including: General Civil Matters; Family Law; Contract Issues: Business Litigation; Personal Injury; Landlord-Tenant Disputes: Wage and Hour Issues; and Veterans Appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Cliff takes a holistic approach to the practice of law. Understanding that legal issues can be emotionally and personally challenging, Cliff is dedicated to guiding clients from initial legal consultation through litigation and, ultimately, to resolution—whether by way of a negotiated settlement or trial. That process involves understanding your story, your goals, and executing a plan with the intent to achieve them.

After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law, Cliff gained valuable state trial court insights during a clerkship with the Hon. John W. Debelius, III at the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland. And during law school, Cliff also obtained first-hand knowledge of the workings of the federal trial and state appellate courts when he served as an intern to both the Hon. Paul W. Grimm at the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the Hon. Irma S. Raker at the Supreme Court of Maryland.

Cliff’s professional experience both inside and outside the law combines with general life experience marked by resilience, tenacity, and perseverance. By way of example, Cliff is a two-time cancer survivor and a Marine Corps Veteran. Cliff’s experience has instilled in him a deep sense of empathy and compassion for his clients as well as a drive and determination to assist them in overcoming their legal hurdles. Cliff is currently admitted to practice to law in Maryland and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
